FINANCING ADVISORY
At
the heart of many major redevelopment projects is a requirement for
funding. PRISM broke through this obstacle with several bold
initiatives. The $350 million redevelopment of the University Health
Network (UHN) was financed primarily through a first-of-its kind bond
offering for a Canadian hospital, which sold out in four days and
raised $281 million. PRISM knows the Capital Markets process from
developing the business case, working with the rating agencies,
financial advisors and regulators through to bond launch and financial
close.
Equally innovative was $100 million in bond financing raised through a first-of-its kind lease securitization program or “net credit tenant lease.” These funds were used to create 400,000 square feet of world class research space for UHN.
